To implement the strategic development in the Bay Area by SITC Shipping Group, SITC Container Lines has held the 1st joint marketing meeting at Guangzhou on April 27, 2018.
The meeting is held by SITC Container Line Strategic Development Centre, over 20 people from SITC Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Hong Kong have attended the meeting. SITC Logistics Guangzhou branch has also joined the meeting in attendance.
During the meeting, representatives from relevant branches have introduced and analyzed the marketing status of their corresponding port. They also shared the updated marketing trends and made in-depth discussion. Finally, they have confirmed a new joint marketing system and set up KPI (Key Performance Index) for management.
SITC International will integrate internal resources, improve regional cooperation mechanisms and promote marketing integration. The relative companies in the area should communicate and cooperate with each other to improve customer experience so that the advancement of the development in the Bay Area could be achieved.
The cities inside the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Bay Area include Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Huizhou, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Zhaoqing, Hong Kong SAR and Macau SAR.
SITC International will input more resources for the business in the Bay Area to act in concert with national strategy of “The Belt and Road” and expand the business together with our customers!
On 3rd Apr 2018, a group from SITC with leading by Mr. Lv Kaixian, General Manager of Strategic Development Centre of SITC Container Lines and SITC Line Hong Kong and Mr. Lau Shun Cheung, General Manager of SITC Line Shenzhen and Guangzhou, has visited the head office of GZ Port Group. The leaders joining the meeting include Mr. Song Xiaoming, Deputy General Manager of Guangzhou Port Group Company Limited, Mr. Sun Bangcheng, General Manager of Department of Operation & Business and the person in charge of the relative departments
During the meeting, General Manager Mr. Lv Kaixian from SITC has introduced the updated business expansion and the future layout after the signing of strategic cooperation agreement with GZ Port Group. Deputy General Manager Mr. Song Xiaoming from GZ Port Group has highly rated the new service lane of SITC from Nansha to Indonesia. Both sides have made in-depth communications and discussions on bringing more high-quality service resources into Nansha port
With the strategic cooperation frame between SITC and GZ Port Group, SITC Line will further enrich the near-sea shipping network with center of Nansha and the Bay Area so as to provide high-quality and high-efficiency container transportation service
At 3pm on Mar. 26, 2018, M/V. MERATUS TOMINI, SITC’s maiden voyage at Nansha, has successfully berthed at Nansha Port Phase III Terminal, indicating SITC Container Lines’ China-Indonesia express service of CVI calls Nansha officially. It takes a solid first step for the strategic cooperation between SITC & GZ Port Group. As the unique container transportation service to cover all five Indonesia main ports in China, it provides the direct services from Nansha to Jakarta, Semarang and Surabaya with transit time of 6 days, 8 days and 10 days respectively with high-quality, high-efficiency products for the clients in the Bay area. Moreover, the direct services to Makassar and Balikpapan have been newly added exclusively and it continuously enriches the service network of SITC in Southern China, allowing SITC to be the first choice for the client in intra-Asia market.
On 16th Mar 2018, SITC International and Guangzhou Port Group have held the signing ceremony of strategic cooperation between SITC Container Lines and Guangzhou Port and the new route announcement at Guangzhou Port Nansha Port Phase III Terminal. Both sides will play a role on their advantages to form a strong alliance in areas like market development, feeder cooperation, etc. By this, both sides could achieve resources sharing and advantages complementing so that the products and services of both companies could be extended and developed

Representatives from SITC and GZ Port Group have also made a detailed introduction each on their own business. Representatives from the Government of Nansha district, Customs and Inspection and Quarantine Bureau have also each provided a deep interpretation of new policies in 2018
Last but not least, to act in concert with the instruction of strengthening the construction of the Bay Area by the National People’s Congress and Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and the development plan of Nansha Port Phase III Terminal, SITC Container Lines announced the establishment of direct service from Nansha to Indonesia, achieving the full coverage of service from Nansha to all Indonesia basic ports. The transit time of the direct service to Jakarta, Semarang and Surabaya are 6 days, 8 days and 10 days respectively, in which they are at the leading position in the industry. At the same time, SITC has newly added the direct service from Nansha to Makassar exclusively and it only requires 12 days. SITC will also provide transshipment service to Indonesia side ports
After the ceremony, all guests have visited the Nansha Port Phase III Terminal with the guidance of GZ Port Group. Nansha International Container Terminal (NICT), a branch of Guangzhou Port Co., Ltd, has put into trial operation in 2014. It provides customers with comprehensive services, such as container loading and unloading, storage as well as relevant logistics and container management.
NICT, located at the estuary of Pearl River, is the geographic and geometric center with extremely convenient land and water transportation. Within 70 km trucking distance NICT covers several city clusters including Guangzhou, Foshan, Zhongshan, Zhuhai and Dongguan. NICT has a sailing distance of 38 nm from Hong Kong, 41 nm from Macau and 35 nm from Guishan anchorage.
On March 15, SITC lines held a special seminar on Indonesia service in Hong Kong. Following the strategic development conference of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Area on January 22, this meeting was another quite large scale conference on strategic development.
Mr. Yang XianXiang, CEO of SITC International, relevant centres of SITC lines, and involved companies on CVI service have attended the conference. The meeting summarized and analyzed the current performance of CVI service, established key targets of next step, and further plans of increase service deployment at Nansha port. In combination with the actual situation of each port, delegates from subsidiary companies of SITC lines made suggestions positively, and developed practical work plans, and discussed the marketing strategy for the first service calling Nansha port of SITC lines in detail. Finally, the meeting was concluded in the heated discussion.
According to the new development strategy of Southern China, SITC Line has decided to increase route input at Nansha port so as to upgrade the service in the area. Among our service, lane “CVI” will add calling Nansha port starting from 26 Mar, 2018. By this, we will achieve the full coverage of service from Nansha to all Indonesia basic ports. The transit time of the direct service to Jakarta, Semarang and Surabaya are 6 days, 8 days and 10 days respectively, in which they are at the leading position in the industry. At the same time, we have newly added the direct service from Nansha to Makassar exclusively and it only requires 12 days. By our feeder network, we can have the full coverage of Pearl West area to fulfill our customers’ needs for the sea transportation service to South-East Asia.
The vessel and voyage number for the first calling is “MERATUS TOMINO V.1806S” and the corresponding port calling is: Ningbo, Shanghai, Xiamen, Shekou, Nansha, Jakarta, Semarang, Surabaya, Makassar, Ningbo.
