On the afternoon of 7th February 2018, Mr. Yang Shaopeng, Chairman of Board of SITC International Holdings Co., Ltd., hosted the visit of Mr. Song Xiaoming, Secretary of Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of Guangzhou Port Company Limited, and Mr. Lu Liangwei, Deputy Director of Guangzhou Nansha Development Zone Port Office, along with their delegation in SITC Hong Kong headquarter office. Mr. Lu Kaixian, General Manager of SITC Shipping Group Strategic Development Center and SITC Shipping Agency (HK) Co., Ltd., and Mr. Lau Shun Cheung, General Manager of SITC Container Lines (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. Shenzhen Branch and SITC Container Lines (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. Guangzhou Branch, etc., have also attended the meeting.
Mr. Yang welcomed for Secretary Song and Director Lu’s visit and introduced SITC’s development history and current status, highlighted Pearl River Delta and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Bay Area strategic development conference, which held by SITC Shipping Group in late January.
Mr. Yang said that under the guidance of national strategy of “The Belt and Road” and “Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Bay Area”, SITC has already determined its strategy of developing in South China region. The next step will be focusing on strategic input and deploying more shipping and logistics resources at the region.
Besides, Mr. Yang believed that Nansha port will surely act as a crucial role in SITC’s South China development through the close cooperation with Guangzhou Port Company Limited and Nansha district development Government.
On the other hand, Secretary Song Xiaoming introduced the business expansion of Guangzhou Port Company Limited in recent years, and was sincerely looking forward to SITC entering to Nansha Port.
Finally, Director Lu Liangwei illustrated Nansha government’s preferential policy for shipping lines, and will support SITC’s strategic development process at Nansha port.
